Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence
We are so thrilled to announce that we’re a recipient of the Wine Spectator’s coveted 2019 Award of Excellence, recognizing the quality and innovation behind Zero Restaurant & Bar’s experience for culinary connoisseurs and oenophiles alike.
Residing in the heart of Downtown Charleston, Zero Restaurant + Bar has worked diligently to establish ourselves as a must-visit destination. Sitting quaintly within the grounds of Zero George’s boutique hotel, Zero Restaurant features a carefully curated wine selection menu of nearly 100 wines from around the world. From the vineyards of Australia, to the lush, rolling vines of Tuscany, to our sister property Pippin Hill Farm + Vineyard in Charlottesville, Virginia, Zero Restaurant is dedicated to curating both wine and culinary menus with full range of options that are sure to please even the most particular of palettes.
Our beverage manager, Ashley Broshious, is not only the only female Advanced Sommelier in the Carolinas and Georgia, but one of just six Advanced Somms in South Carolina. Ashley’s prestigious title is not just for show – her expertise on all things wine sets the foundation for a truly memorable Zero Restaurant experience. Following deliberation and selection by Ashley, these specifically selected wines are meticulously matched with Executive Chef Vinson Petrillo’s exquisite culinary pairings to make for a luxurious wining-and-dining experience.
Look out for Zero Restaurant’s feature in Wine Spectator’s August 31st Issue, hitting stands Tuesday, July 16th, and book your reservation today!
Originating in 1981, the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards include The Award of Excellence, giving special recognition to restaurants whose wine lists typically offer at least 90 selections, feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, and establish a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
