Spoleto Festival Cocktail ~ The Black Rabbit
Join Zero Restaurant + Bar for Spoleto from May 26th – June 11th as we celebrate the arts in Charleston with our signature cocktail. This year’s Spoleto cocktail is called the Black Rabbit, and it’s easy to see why. The drink’s pitch black color is a bit jarring, but rest assured, the taste is delicious. The Black Rabbit is made with Beefeater Gin, activated charcoal, Cointreau, orange bitters, lemon juice, and egg whites. Despite its dark appearance, the Black Rabbit has an unexpectedly light flavor, perfect for summer in Charleston.
The Black Rabbit is inspired by the avant-garde stylings of the Charles Lloyd Quartet whose signature style challenges listeners to distance themselves from their preconceived notions of what makes a “song.” With no commitment to a specific key or time signature, their music is unexpected and almost jarring at times.
Try the Black Rabbit on the cocktail menu during Spoleto, from May 26th – June 11th. Grab a drink before performances, or stay for Chef Vinson Petrillo’s world- renowned tasting menu. After all, anyone who has dined at Zero Restaurant knows that to taste Chef Petrillo’s food is to experience a work of art.
