If You Like Pina Coladas ~

We think Zero George is the perfect “escape” within Charleston, and Zero Restaurant + Bar manager, Cody Held, has created his own Cuban-inspired cocktail to reinforce that getaway mentality. His personal spin on the classic Pina Colada has been featured as one of “Ten Summer Drink Recommendations from Charleston Pros” by Charleston City Paper, and we think this is the perfect drink to get a taste of the islands.

Picturing yourself on a beach somewhere with a drink in your hand? Well, we might not have a beach, but we have A/C and our Bar has the perfect drink! Cody reflects on his time in Cuba by saying, “I probably drank a year’s worth when I was there, so every time I have one it brings me back to those days in Cuba on the beach.” By that count, we think Cody’s standards will meet any and everyone’s island-dream needs. Join us at Zero Restaurant + Bar Tuesday through Sunday to try Cody’s Pina Colada or make it for yourself at home with his go-to recipe below.

1 oz. dark rum floater

1 oz. Coco Lopez

½ oz. pineapple juice
