Elephant in the Room Cocktail Recipe

There’s certainly no “Elephant in The Room” that this cocktail takes the cake. Inspired by tropical flavors of lemongrass, swirled with a touch of sweet bitters, this drink will both refresh and replenish your thirst. “An elephant never forgets,” …and neither will you.

Elephant in the Room Recipe 

1.75 oz Pandan leaf infused white rum (Flor de Cana)

.5 oz Diplomatico Mantuano rum

.25 oz Paranubes Oxacan Pot Still Rum

.5 Lemon grass simple syrup*

2 dashes Cardomom bitters (fee brothers)

Stir and strain into rocks glass with large cube

Lemongrass Simple Syrup

Trim 3-4 stalks of lemongrass. Bring 1 part water and 1 part sugar to a boil with lemongrass. Lower to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Cool fully then discard lemongrass.

Pandan Rum

Infuse 4g Pandan leaf (dried) in 1 L White rum (Flor de Cana). Can use fresh pandan if you can find it
