August Wine Class: Demystifying Restaurant Wine Lists

Join Zero George on Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th for our August Wine Class – Decode to Decant: Demystifying Restaurant Wine Lists. Navigating a restaurant wine list can be overwhelming. In this class, our beverage manager Ashley Broshious demystifies the process by teaching participants how to think (and drink) like a sommelier. You’ll leave the class with confidence on selecting your next wine to decant.

While learning the ins and outs of wine lists, your palate will travel the world – including Germany, California, Oregon, Burgundy and Bordeaux. You will taste our recommendations for a bottle of wine for a fun night out and what to order for your next special occasion celebration.

Zero Restaurant + Bar was awarded the 2019 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for its outstanding wine programing. Classes are led by the aforementioned Ashley Broshious who is the only female Advanced Sommelier in the Carolinas and Georgia – and, just one of six Advanced Somms in South Carolina.

About Zero George’s Wine Program

For all of us at Zero George, attention to detail reigns supreme. Just as with our food and cocktails, we select wines made with passion. Whether a wine is made according to historical tradition or intrepid innovation, all of the wines that make our list aren’t just beverages, they are stories. The love of a vintner for their craft mirrors our own. That’s why, when we curated our list, we wanted it to reflect both the most iconic estates in the world as well as up and coming young winemakers hungry to shape the world of wine. We explore the world with a focus on precision, organic farming, and legacies of greatness. From classified growths of Bordeaux, to family-owned wineries from Napa Valley, to curious whites from Italy and Greece; we invite you to indulge in and savor wine as we do: whole-heartedly.
